David Bertrand is an emerging voice on flute with an approach that draws heavily from the lexicon of modern jazz saxophone.

He leads a quartet devoted to playing his original music in a singular style that integrates the rhythms of his native Trinidad’s folkloric traditions with modern jazz. David plays in several NYC groups and teaches through the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music.
